Btw, peeps, I'm friends only now, so if you want to see my ramblings, comment to be friended. If you were friended before, you still are, but if you're not just holler;)

Citizens, I need firepower! [20 Jun 2006|07:22pm]

[ music | Flavour of the Weak -- American Hi-Fi ]

Tennis is by far one of the most amusing games ever. Anyone interested in playing? We can keep switching up the four, or make it a larger excursion. So yesterday, Mel and I won 3 games while our opponents won 6, therefore beating us. I guess that Mel and I just generally do things with a 50% success rate... Also, anyone interested in a big football game? Cuz that would just be funny! Yeah. And sports don't cost money, which is the best part.

Why isn't Snakes on a Plane coming out in theaters until mid-August???

You see, sir, I have the other slipper! [16 Jun 2006|07:04pm]
[ mood | intimidated ]
[ music | Everytime -- Simple Plan ]

I was babysitting yesterday and between movies began wondering about fairy tales. Everything always works out so well in them; are we setting ourselves up for disappointment as little kids? Or will things all work out? I sat there, able to relate my own life to problems that computer-animated Barbie overcame in her sophomore year, wondering why.

When will I find my happily ever after?

I <3 Summer [14 Jun 2006|01:57pm]
[ mood | energetic ]
[ music | Move Along -- All American Rejects ]

Summer is by far the best thing ever, but I assume that needs no introduction. I actually have a life! So far I have gone out basically every day with friends and it's been a blast. Whether it's watching movies, hanging with the girls, potentially violent game night, playing pool and making people uncomfortable, remixing it up, or going to the park (which is a great time, may I add --I highly recommend it), it has been great so far. I am more exhausted now than I was during the school year cuz I've been so busy, but hey, I can sleep in college, right? Somehow hanging out with friends seems so much more important since next year everything will inevitably change.

I ASSUME I NEED NO INTRODUCTION!

Oh yeah, and I officially have a CELL PHONE! I know, what's with that!?

This just needs documentation, and I assume it needs no introduction:
Katy: Aww, the wind is blowing his hair.
Mel: Actually, it's blowing the ashes of his daughter into his face.
Katy: SEXY!

So much to update! Yeah 5.5! [05 Jun 2006|01:35pm]
[ mood | nostalgic ]
[ music | Graduation (Friends Forever) -- Vitamin C ]

Okay, beware, cuz this will be a hugely long post. Now, where to even start? So, basically, high school has ended, and it went out in style. I'm scared to death about the future, but I could not have asked for a better end to senior year. I'll start with my personal favorite topic (and just about the only thing I've talked about since it happened)...

PROM. Yes, folks, senior prom has come and gone, and it was amazing. It totally lived up to expectations, and I had pretty darn high expectations. My date was amazing; I had a FANTASTIC time!!! Dancing is sooo much FUN! Celebration was fun too, but the actual dance owned cuz I wasn't too tired yet. Second City was funny, though, and the sunrise was really cool to see. It's definitely something that I'll remember. Everyone looked so great in their dresses or tuxes, and 5.5 went better than Mel and I could have hoped, and I loved it. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. 5.5 the Remix, right? ;) I have so much more that I want to say about Prom, but I'll spare ya all the details: chances are you've heard them already anyway. A few times. And Mel's story is better anyway ;)

Then there was graduation. I took it better than I thought I would. I didn't cry at the ceremony, which is saying something, and I didn't trip, but the thought that that was the last time I will see most of the people there really makes me sad. I wonder what I should have said to people. For all of you that I love, do not let that be the last time that we see each other. Plzkthanx. Thanks to everyone who made my high school experience something that I am so reluctant to leave behind.

And now, since we're done with school, I figure that I will close out the year like I did last year, with Senior Year in Quotes:
Liz: "Stop eavesdropping on myself!"

Pat: "It's frickin' dueling banjos!"

Mr. States: "Americans are more what than other democratic nations?"
Most people: "Busy!"
One person: "Obese!"
Mr. States: "Religious..."

Mary: "But if the bowl is bottomless... won't the soup spill out?"

L^2: "His head is mushroomular. But he isn't Mushroom McMushroomson." and "Look, Meghan! It's the dirt that's waiting for Godot!"

Confused AAA Lady on the Phone: "Are you honestly in Disney World?"

David: "I'd be fillet mignon because I'm expensive and beefy!"

Meghan: "Sacrification"

Matt: "Yeah, John Hamilton. He's on the ten dollar bill, right?"

Steven Tyler: "Toys in the f***ing attic!"

Carmelized banana served with Vanilla Ice

David: "I'm like a practical third arm!"

Mr States: "Some of it can be a little dry..."
George: "Like my mother's chicken."

Richie: "You can't spell stud without STD!"

Lauren: "You're second chair in the quadratic formula band!"

Chris: "Just because I'm flirting doesn't mean I'm interested!"

Beckie's story stemming from the word "Considle" --> "'Fake it 'til you make it, don't let them catch you with your pants down.' 'But Alex, my pants are down.' 'Tom, Tom, pull your pants up.'"

Mary: "Tom, I love you Alex!" and everything else that happened with Unit 5 and Washington DC in general.

Beckie: "Meghan! Guess what just happened? POINT FIVE!"

Melissa: "Him getting lucky will be me giving him a kiss on the cheek!"

Matt: "Would you be opposed to going with me?"
Meghan: "Absolutely not! Are you asking me?"
Matt: "Yeah. Will you go to prom with me?"

Lauren: "Nicole, you know all the words to all these songs!"
Nicole: "So does Meghan..."
Lauren: "Yeah, but she's ghetto!"

Lauren: "I hid my keys. In my pie hole!" and "Mr. States has eyes!"

... and so many more, but this post is long enough. Hey, maybe I'll actually start posting often now: I need some way to stay in touch with people... Who knows. I love you all, peace out.

Cinco de Mayo! [05 May 2006|08:27pm]
[ mood | excited ]
[ music | Just What I Needed -- The Cars ]

Well, C-team has officially ended. The trip to Washington that I have been counting down to forever has come and gone. And it was worth every second of it. C-team truly was a ride; I felt every emotion possible in relation to it. And through the stress and the tears and the not being able to break down, I can honestly say it was all worth it. DC was the best time of my life. Sure, those couple hours where our dreams were shattered and the time spent bawling in the hotel sucked, but the experience was once in a lifetime. I love all 23 of you other C-teamers and would like to thank you for the time of my life.
**Highlights of the Trip**
1. Chris party-boying Pat at the DJ Dance party.
2. The Dance parties in general.
3. Mel sleeping in embarassing positions all over Washington.
4. Barack Obama.
5. PUNJAB KABOB
6. Everything else that I can't think of now.

In other news, on the subject of good times, CONGRATS TO MEL!!! We have had success with 5, and now need the point five to complete it. YAY MEL!!! Prom is gonna rock. Word to the Mexican holiday!!

[ music | Just the Girl -- The Click Five ]

Well, folks, I'm officially 18 years old. And something about being that old just makes me a bit depressed. Although, as far as the birthday goes, it was a good one. Probably the best yet. Seeing that it was my last day of being a true teenager, there had to be some wild and craziness involved, right? And by craziness I CLEARLY mean karaoke... right... ;) If what he said was right, and your year works out like your birthday did, this will be one crazy year. I heart you all; you're the best. There must be more CrAzY excursions!

In other news, I hate finals.

[ music | Fall Out Boy -- Sugar We're Goin' Down ]

Yeah, so just to throw this out there: WE HAVE BEEN STATE CHAMPIONS FOR OVER A WEEK and it hasn't lost any of its appeal. I heart C-team so much. Believe it or not, I actually miss caselaw. And penological. In other news, Benihana is the coolest restaurant ever. Um... I know I had other stuff to post... hmm... Oh well. At least I'm posting, right?

Don't you wish your girlfriend was HOT like me? [09 Aug 2005|02:43pm]
[ mood | giggly ]
[ music | Holiday -- Green Day ]

So I'm back from my vacation. Maine is a gorgeous state, and it was cool to see Washington, DC, even if it was about 1000 degrees. I liked seeing all the monuments and stuff, but I guess I'm kinda a dork like that. When I got back, my back tire on m'truck was practically flat -- it should have 35 lbs of air in it, it had 11. Oops. As I'm walking back to my house to comment on that one, I got stung by a bee on my foot for the first time. Stupid bee. Oh well, I guess that's one less thing I have to be paranoid about...

On a completely different note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT!!!!!

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! [18 Jul 2005|02:29pm]
[ mood | bouncy ]
[ music | We Built this City ]

Oh wow, where to even start?! I'll go back the Thursday before last Thursday. V and I went downtown just because we could and wandered for a while. We took the Blue line to LaSalle and hit Millenium Park, then walked to the Shedd, decided we didn't want to go there, and walked to Navy Pier. I don't know what we were thinking, but we walked like mad. Then we walked the Pier, called Pat, and headed back to the L. I got home with the most wicked sunburn ever because I'm stupid and didn't put on sunscreen. Curse my paleness! Then, the next day, V and I visited U of C, which was GORGEOUS! I really liked it there.

And then... the most surprising event of the summer... I WENT TO BOSTON WITH KATIE AND LAUREN TO VISIT PAT!!!!! As in, without parents! It was fantastic, despite the 22+ hour train rides to and from Massachusetts b/c we were too cheap to buy plane tix. We met Pat's cool roommates and visited Harvard and MIT. We also embarked on a historical walking tour of Boston. My legs are still burning from climbing Bunker Hill (aren't I cool?). We passed the most amazing conversation ever:

Fruit Vender: 10 plums for a dollar! 10 plums for a dollar!
Random man behind us: Aw, F*** you!

It was hysterical. Speaking of hysterical, we also saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and it was phenomenal. Johnny Depp rocks my world! I went in there prepared to be creeped out, and instead I was so impressed.

Other quotes of notice:
Katie: I looked at that exit sign and thought it said "mexit!"

Lauren: When do we get to Albany?
Meghan: Noon-thirty.
Lauren: Two thirty?
Meghan (shaking head and holding up two fingers): Noon.

Katie: The British are coming, the British are coming, I'm running like a pansy!

There were so many more, but I'm too lazy to write them.

And I have blue hair! Ok, not really, just at the tips and you can't really notice it, but it is! Ha! And so was the bathroom at the Holiday Inn... but we cleaned that up, I swear!

So, Boston was awesome. I miss Pat so much; it was great to be able to visit him. Like Sam said, Pat's a very loveable guy ;)

What does your boat look like? [04 Jul 2005|10:26pm]
[ mood | hyper ]
[ music | Hangin' by a moment -- Lifehouse ]

So, this is a few days after the fact, but whatever. Me, L^2, and V went SAILING last Friday. That's right, I braved my fear, and it was awesome! We arrived downtown with me trying to rock out the ascot look, with V as Sou'Side V and L^2 as Aunt Jemima using some ripped bedsheets I had. We definitely got PLENTY of weird looks! Then we all got soaked on V's yacht -- but rest assured that it was not pansy-sailing but fierce sailing! W00t! It was pretty sweet. Then we crashed Navy Pier, and by crashed I mean we walked up and down the pier and bothered Patrico to the max... but it was still cool. Three cheers for being spontaneous!

Painting the roses red! [27 Jun 2005|06:08pm]
[ mood | chipper ]
[ music | Mr. Brightside ]

I have to update now because if I don't L of the Squared is gonna keel me for always saying "Oh, this makes the lj" and never putting it there. So, last Thursday V and I kidnapped L^2 and we went shopping. It was uber-awesome. Here's V's quote du jour: "Whoa, it's like a cage for your butt to keep the wild beast at bay!!" Oh, good times! Then I went to V's and watched Dodgeball... GREAT movie! I know I laughed. A lot. We tried to kidnap L^2 again today, but it wasn't a good time for her to leave... :) So, anyway, my word of advice for the day is that tin is by far the raunchiest element. Ha, it's funny cuz it's true!!

Uhh... [13 Jun 2005|05:35pm]
[ mood | nostalgic ]
[ music | Untitled -- Simple Plan ]

So, I haven't posted in forever, but IT'S SUMMER! and I'M A SENIOR!!!! Wow, I can't believe it. So, here was junior year in review (or some of my random "Quotes of the Day"):

Chris: "He looks like he'll be in prison in 2 years... for stabbing someone... for stealing his milkshake."

JP: "I think that's because 2 squared is the same as 2 times 2"
a few minutes later --
Mark: "What does your hair look like straight?"
Me: "Straight"
Pat: "That's like 2 squared is the same as 2 times 2"
Mark: "You're right!"

Colin (describing Pat's multicolored wig): "There's something you don't see everyday... and something you shouldn't see any day."

Dirk (in physics): "When will we get to the stuff that isn't math?"
Me: "NEver"
Dirk: "Science blows!"

Group: "Batidos"
JP: "BA-ti-dos" -- and the entire Spanish Group movie!!

JP: "Why does it seem so easy now, but when we open the book, we're slapped in the face by a big guy... with a barbell... and some fire..."

Liz: "I'm training to be Edward Scissorhands!"

Katie: "You have 2 X chromosomes."
Liz: "Well, I do NOW!"
Katie: "Get your hand off my thigh!"

Lauren: "I don't want to be a teabag!"

Me: "I feel like I've been dragged thru the dirt by an SUV for three weeks."
Kt: "What color was the SUV?"

Liz: "You can't eat an armadillo raw b/c it could give you leprosy. You have to cook it for at least 20 minutes."

Pat: "Let's find a bottomless pit and throw Kasia in it!"
Kasia: "With the bear, right?"

Mr. C: "What do you do if someone is choking?"
Me: "Abdominable thrusts!"
Mr. C: "Abdominable thru-- ... ahem, ABDOMINAL thrusts."

Tom: "And I'll be like 'shut up, I can't get this mask off!'"

Tom: "You will bring sandwiches, and you the soda pop. Not soda, soda pop, which means that you've gotta bring a white guy in an apron w/ some little patchwork on his face, who spritzes your soda w/ vanilla making it soda pop, which basically means you're bringing a Norman Rockwell painting."
Me: "If soda pop = Norman Rockwell painting, what are 'sandwiches'?"
Tom: "Car tires. And hurricane shutters." -- And many, MANY more TASC-Force adventures!!

There has been so many more quotes and good times from this year that I can't fit them all in. Thank you all for making me laugh! But for now, it's SUMMER! HECK YES!

Might as well jump on the bandwagon, no?

[01] Reply with your name and I will write something about you.

[02] I will then tell you what song/BAND reminds me of you.

[03] Next, I will tell you who you remind me of, celebrity/animated or otherwise.

[04] Last, I will try to name a single word that best describes you.

[05] Put this in your journal.

[ music | Wake Me Up (Before You Go-go) ]

Last night was interesting to say the least. Bowling was good times... and the minigolf place was closed when we got there. OOh, speaking of mini-golf, last weekend was the shiz, Pat and Mooch, even tho we suck at life. So, anyway, back to last night, it all turned out ok in the end, even tho my brain got fried and I smelled like a bowling alley. Thank you so much for dealing with me last night. You know who you are. I can never thank you enough for just being you. You mean so much to me. That is all.

K, TASC-Force -- The next collaboration day isn't until March 9. What will we do??? We need some type of meeting between now and then. Lemme know what y'all think! I'll take one of THOSE!!! *cannon pounds*

[ music | Welcome to My Life ]

Ok, wow, I'm actually posting! So, on Wednesday of last week, Tom, Pat, Gina and I hung out at Al's Beef and began creating TASC-Force, a potential improv group. We had such a great time. Some highlights:
1) I'll take one of THESE (raises arm)
2) V I I I I...
3) The discus
4) Weird looks = currency
And so much more. Talk about good times. We four must hang out more (five, once our savior passes math ;). *cannon pounds*

Yesterday I went to see Little Shop of Horrors. It was fantastic. Kudos to all of y'all who were part of it. It was uber-great. That's all I have to say.

Well, I guess now i've been sucked into this lj craze... I probably won't use it too much, but Stina set it up and all, so it's all gravy. I'm liking the Vanilla Ice theme, it makes me laugh. Ha, any song that ends with "Word to your mother" is doomed... Or if there's a news broadcast in the middle, although "We built this city" is a great song...
Anyway... I can't imagine people reading this... Yeah... Well, have a blast, folks... Word to your mother.
